The new approach by Matt Bellamy and band is definitely a breath of fresh air and it is not surprising that this new approach is another stroke of genius. Very different from the heavy riffs that songs on "Origin of Symmetry" album and the deep bass lines of "Black Holes And Revelations", The Resistance demonstrates the band's ability and depth in other genre of music; especially in symphony and orchestra.. Hey guys. Been a long time since I've updated this mlog and I'm sincerely sorry for that. I've been busy with my prelims exams and now that it's over plus September is here, it's time for more good music. This month, we'll kick things off with Weezer.

Releasing their 7th album this coming October, Weezer presents use with another catchy, hip tunes with "(If You're Wondering If I Want To) I Want To". This American alternative rock band never fails to amaze us with killer guitar solos and songs that we all can sing and relate to. Honestly, I'm out of superlatives to describe this amazing band.

Florence Welch is just one hell of a woman with one hell of a voice. Accompanied by The Machine, their have released their debut album "Lungs" and prior to that, performed at Glastonbury and Tea In The Park this year. How awesome is that, to perform at such HUGE events way before you release a proper album? With hits like "Rabbit Heart" and "You've Got The Love", Florence and The Machine gained popularity throughout the UK. Just recently, they've released their MV for the song "Drumming" and it all goes to show the band's potential at making the finest tunes in the indie industry.

Hailing from Montreal, Canada, this electronica pop rock quartet were recently signed to Paper Bag Records(I kid you not, this is exactly what the record label was named) after the release of heir EP. Their song in today's feature, entitled "Ce Soir" starts out calmly and soothing with an acoustic guitar riff. Then the synthesizers kicks in, creating the ambience for the song. The song is not in any way loud and the vocals soothes and touches you lightly like light soy sauce.

American funky electronic indie rock band, Discovery, is a side recording project by Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij and Ra Ra Riot's Wes Miles.The combination of these two fine musician gave birth to sweet melodic sounds and without a doubt, Discovery is a band one should look out for. The high pitched synthesizers and soft sweet vocals make perfect partnersin each and every of their songs. The single "Swing Tree" reminds us all of those reggae beats and ska we once listened on the radio and somewhat a little bit of those upbeat Mariah Carey songs. No matter how hard I try to describe, you definitely have got to check Discovery out.

Randolph Chabot Jr. started to make electronic music when he was 13 at his home in Sterling Heights, MI. He finished his first album that year despite the ecstatic, aural trauma it caused his mother. He studied youth development in college with the intent of becoming a social worker, dropping out to pursue music full time. He formed an electro band called Veleciraptor, which inspired the ideas for his current synthesized project: Deastro. The band produces music that fuses electronica and acoustic pop together and the end product is upbeat yet somewhat reminding you of music in the 1990s. Check out Parallelogram.

The band split in 2007 but Dan Black , the band's frontman, embarked on a solo carreer and has released ear-catching singles such as "Symphonies" and his mash up of Nototrious B.I.G.'s "Hypnotize" and Rihanna's "Umbrella". A band with such a mind-boggling name. True, but what's more worth noticing is their brand of music. Dananananaykroyd is a Scottish band, hailing from Glasgow. Their songs are much loud, reminding you of punk rock and post hardcore, only that they've infused that loudness with brilliant songwriting and cheeky guitar riffs. The Colou...WHO?? You guys might not heard of them but they are not a band you could just give a skip. Hailing from Los Angeles, California, The Colour Turning has brought us a well-worked single "Me Versus Me" from their latest LP, "Me Versus Me". The song starts out with a dream-like trance brought about by the wicked and genius use of synthesizers and accompanied by a catchy riff. I personally won't be surprised if their songs remind you of Radiohead, Coldplay and Deathcab For Cutie all mashed up like mashed potatoes and they probably be just as nice.
If they appeal to you like apples, look out for their soon-to-be-released album "Good Hands Bad Blood" which has been touted to be one of the most anticipated album in 2009.

Yes! That's what he was labeled as after grabbing the Indie scene by storm in 2007 after winning the Best Solo Artist at the 2007 NME Shockwave Awards. Now Jamie Alexander Treays, a.k.a. Jamie T is back with a new album that is soon to be released, entitled Kings & Queens. His songs pack punches of Rap, Raggae and Punk and I wouldn't be surprise if this songs stick on you for a while. This single "Sticks and Stones" is one hell of a song to begin with if you haven't heard of him before. The catchy chorus "running with believers/go time for fever/and I havent got time for you either" stays in your head like some punk-like rebellious cry. Indeed, through the song, it tells you a story of how a bunch of people live their lives the way they do; rebelious, fun and most importantly, carefree. Enjoy this one.
